“By supporting one another, we can build a strong, unified community for all.”
Dulce Bueno has called Ringwood home for the past 10 years, where she lives with her husband, their two young daughters, and their miniature schnauzer, Barbo. Like many families, Dulce and her husband chose Ringwood for its natural beauty, strong sense of community, and family traditions like the fireworks at Shepherds Lake. Her oldest daughter, Arya, is starting first grade at Peter Cooper Elementary, while little Valeria is learning her ABCs at Gingerbread Academy. As a mom, Dulce is deeply invested in the quality of our schools and the experiences our children have growing up here.
Professionally, Dulce has worked in education for over 15 years with the NYC Department of Education, where she now serves as Strategic Operations Director for the Public Schools Athletic League. Her work focuses on planning, problem-solving, and turning ideas into real results for students and schools. She brings those same skills to her community involvement—whether it’s volunteering through Ringwood Recreation, supporting her daughters’ Cheer team, or helping local organizations like the Robert E. Williams Animal Rescue.
Dulce is running for the Ringwood Board of Education because she believes every child deserves an excellent education in a safe and supportive environment. She wants to use her experience to help our district stay strong, plan responsibly for the future, and make sure teachers and families feel supported. Most of all, Dulce hopes to set an example for her daughters about the importance of giving back, leading with integrity, and working together to build a better community for all.
